They say that communication is key, but that doesn't mean you have to voice your every thought and opinion about your partner right to their face. Some things are better left unsaid, but it is still important to work through your feelings and let them out some way or another so they don't get all bottled up. It's okay to have an inner world of thoughts that you privately share with a therapist, yourself through journaling, or close friends while opening up on a girl's night.
In our story today, a soon-to-be married couple are directed by their officiant to write letters to each other letting it all out. He promises that he won't even read them. It doesn't seem all that odd in the moment. Writing a letter that isn't meant to be sent is a pretty common exercise to let off steam, after all. Imagine the couple's horror when their officiant pulls out their letters at the altar, opens them without their consent, and reads them out loud for all of their weddings guests to hear.
